AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Affiliate Disclosure Guidelines
Effective date: October 7, 2026
If you recommend a Nebijane product and may earn a commission, your audience deserves to know. These guidelines explain how Nebijane affiliates must disclose that relationship.
These guidelines form part of the Affiliate Program Terms. They are practical guidance, not legal advice. You are responsible for following the laws and platform rules that apply to you.
1. The Basic Rule
Whenever you recommend or link to a Nebijane product as an affiliate, clearly tell your audience that you have a financial relationship with Nebijane and may earn a commission.
This applies even if your opinion is genuine and even if you would recommend the product anyway. The relationship may affect how your audience weighs your recommendation, so they need to know about it.
2. What a Good Disclosure Looks Like
- Clear. Use plain words your audience will understand, such as “I may earn a commission.”
- Noticeable. Make it easy to see or hear. Do not use tiny text, low-contrast colors, or fast-scrolling captions.
- Close to the recommendation. Put it before or next to the recommendation or link, not only in a footer, an “About” page, a profile bio, or behind a “more” link.
- Repeated where needed. If you recommend a product several times in a long article or video, make sure the disclosure is present where the audience will encounter each recommendation.
- Unambiguous. Vague wording such as “partner,” “collab,” “sp,” or “thanks, Nebijane” is not enough on its own.
The words “affiliate link” on their own are not a sufficient disclosure in every context, because many people do not know what they mean. Pair them with a plain explanation, such as “Affiliate link: I may earn a commission if you purchase through it.”
Platform tools, such as a built-in “paid partnership” label, can help, but they may not be enough by themselves. Use your own clear disclosure as well.
3. Example Disclosures
These examples are a good starting point. Adjust them so they are clear in your context.
- “I may earn a commission if you purchase through this link.”
- “As a Nebijane affiliate, I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.”
- “Paid link.” — acceptable only where space is very limited, placed directly with the link, and paired with a fuller disclosure where you can include one.
4. Websites and Blogs
- Place the disclosure near the top of the article or review, before the first referral link, and near any prominent link or button.
- A site-wide disclosure page is helpful, but it does not replace a disclosure on the page where you make the recommendation.
- In comparison tables and “best of” lists, disclose near the table or list, and do not rank a product higher because you may earn a commission without saying so.
6. Email and Newsletters
- Include the disclosure in the body of the email near the recommendation or link, not only in the footer.
- Promotional email must also follow commercial-email laws, including identifying yourself as the sender, using honest subject lines, and honoring unsubscribe requests. See the Affiliate Program Terms.
- Never send messages that appear to come from Nebijane or a Nebijane product.
7. Video and Podcasts
- Say the disclosure out loud, and in video also show it on screen, near the start of the content and when you discuss the product.
- Leave on-screen disclosures up long enough to be read.
- Also include a written disclosure in the description, next to the referral link.
8. Livestreams and Live Events
- Disclose your relationship when you first mention a Nebijane product, and repeat it periodically, because viewers join and leave at different times.
- If you post a referral link in chat or on screen, include the disclosure with it.
- At in-person events, say the disclosure when you recommend the product and include it on any slides or handouts with referral links.
9. Honest Endorsements
Disclosure does not make a misleading claim acceptable. Your recommendations must also be honest:
- share only opinions you actually hold;
- describe your own experience only if you have actually used the product;
- describe features, availability, and pricing only as Nebijane publishes them; and
- do not promise savings, results, legal compliance, or income.
See the Approved Representations section of the Affiliate Program Terms.
10. Questions
If you are unsure whether a disclosure is clear enough, make it clearer, or ask us through the Nebijane Contact page before publishing.
